Having been hanging around Xindian (新店) district of New Taipei City for quite sometimes, there are some places worth introducing. One of those is Relish Cafe. Located in the main street just few blocks away from Dapinglin MRT Station (捷運大坪林站), it is always full of patrons regardless of the time.After several times just passing by, I finally got to visit for the first time when meeting my classmate for schoolwork. It was because St*rbucks around the area were full and aha, just a good chance to try. We had soups and teas for tea time at that moment. Coming back with quite a good impression I managed to persuade my partner to also give it a try.

One afternoon in the weekend, we paid this cafe a visit for brunch. Decoration wise, it was very simple and a bit dark. I kinda feel somehow like I was in D*nte (or Ik*ri) though – there is a possibility this cafe owner took ‘franchised-cafe’ as their standard too. Their menu and service way are also intensely similar; price unexcepted. One good thing here that we consider remarkable is that they provide free Wi-Fi! It is not that easy to find a cafe with relatively low price tag and free Wi-Fi, right? Moreover, if you feel bored, they have magazines for you to browse when you dine.
So, to our meals of the day. I felt like having brunch set, so I ordered their French Breakfast (法式早餐). As for my partner, he kind of had the urge to have something fulfilling (I guess 😉 ) so he decided on their Rice Ball with Bacon Sauce (義式倍根飯糰). We picked set meal (套餐) so we also got to choose beverage to be paired with our meal! For me of course reminiscing my previous visit I had Green Tea Latte (抹茶拿提), and we were curious about their Mango Juice (芒果汁) so we had both hot and cold drinks at the same time, just nice 8-).

We won’t comment much about how the food and drink tasted. For that kind of price I guess we cannot set high expectation, well, it is within acceptable level just like the standard of franchised-cafe mentioned before. It is more reasonable to say that the crowd is because they provide a place with moderate price, wi-fi, and browsing shelf, suitable for study, chit-chat, business or tea time.
