Have you heard about “From Paris with Love”, “From Russia with Love”, or simply “New York, I Love You”? I believe those sound very familiar, right? But if we ask you if you’ve heard “Falling in Love in Krumlov“, what kind of feeling do you perceive? Truthfully I felt a bit startled the first time we came to know this romantic “love story”.
Apology about the out-of-topic introduction; I have no intention to mislead you guys at all. So this all began with a coincidence, a very unexpected one. We were again back in Nanzhuang for a quite lazy Saturday walk and my partner, as he wished, got his chance back to the cute shop inside Nanzhuang Old Street. Probably bored waiting for us, our other dear friend started this conversation with the friendly shop owner and ended up getting introduced to a cafe she frequently visits. She said the cafe is just at the other end of the bridge near the area.
However, as we pictured the directions she gave differently, we ended up going round-and-round with the mentioned cafe nowhere to be seen. We agreed on one last chance of effort – phone a friend (just like the “Who Wants to Be A Millionaire” quiz show), hahaha, of course no, just kidding. We meant we finally called the shop owner who told us this place to ask for clearer information. Half an hour later, we arrived in front of a very beautifully decorated dream house.
Standing outside the place, we felt a very warm cozy feeling. Just what is waiting for us inside, we wondered. 😀
Entering the main door, we were welcomed by the jumbo teddy sitting with Christmas hat (oh and Christmas clothes!).
We were still full with awe and quickly upon seated we browsed through the menu (all handmade!). We randomly made our choices of drinks and ordered a waffle (the shop owner who frequents this place told us their waffle is not to be missed) and garlic bread as we haven’t had our lunch, then rushed around to explore the whole place (inside out!).
We guess you’ll be more interested to see the exact shots than us explaining in words, no?
We all agreed this place is a very appropriate to laze out and hang around, especially for families with little kids as they can run around at their huge backyard space. There are actually some tables available outside too, probably to be occupied in summer? 😎 We really couldn’t get enough and run here and there until we recalled our food and drinks.
Not long after we got back in, our drinks were served (they kindly waited for us to came back to our table and made our order quickly? probably 😛 ). All drinks came with a small biscuit! (extra point kekekek)
To tell you the truth, their drinks and bread were normal. However waffle was worth-mentioning. However, the ice cream was served too soft hence melted quickly.
Other points that made them well suited for lazy afternoon out is:
1. Magazine rack 🙂
2. Stationary section (where else can you find this kind of offer)
If you have the time and unsure where to go, it’s really not a bad idea to check Richard & Jill’s out. And while you’re there, take a peek on their Christmas tree (if you go there around this time) and look out for our message!

Our message hung as their Christmas tree ornament, make sure to find if it’s still there when you visit!
Now, get what we meant with “Krumlov love story” in the beginning part?
PS. Krumlov is in Czech Republic.

That does look like a delightful little cafe, I hope I can check it out sometime! By the way, I also have a blog about Taiwan. I’ve added a link to your blog on there because I’m sure my readers will love to check out your site. Hope that’s OK! Keep up the good work.

Yes, it’s a wonderful cafe, but the location is a bit of a challenge. Thanks, we will also checkout yours! 🙂
