Aranzi Aronzo アランジアロンゾ (阿朗基咖啡)

Two more days left for this long weekend holiday…any plan yet? Hopefully this post can be one option to be considered? 😉 Have you heard of the brand ‘Aranzi Aronzo‘ before? How about these characters: “Usagi“, “Kappa“, “Panda“, and bad guy “Warumono“, anything familiar? Aranzi Aronzo started offby two ladies in Japan as a home original goods manufacturer. Styled as kawaii, Japanese for cute/adorable, it effectively created colourful attractive characters featured in their notebooks, t-shirts, postcards, and now cakes as well as drinks too.

Richard & Jill's Dream House

Richard & Jill

Have you heard about “From Paris with Love”, “From Russia with Love”, or simply “New York, I Love You”? I believe those sound very familiar, right? But if we ask you if you’ve heard “Falling in Love in Krumlov“, what kind of feeling do you perceive? Truthfully I felt a bit startled the first time we came to know this romantic “love story”.

Steiff Coffee

Have you noticed that there is a new MRT line here in Taipei City? Of course, right?! Actually it is not only making the whole Taipei city more accessible by public transportation, but it is also helping food hunter like us to even jump and hit further places positioned deep inside a neighbourhood, for example Nanjing East Rd.

2F Lite (貳拂咖啡)

This place we’re about to review is tucked along the busy main street in Xihu area (looks like this only applies on weekdays as when we went there on weekends the area seemed a little deserted). Yes, this place’s location is not that convenient to us, we admitted it, but we really wanted to give you guys this special review! Why is this place so special? Curious?  😉

Village Brunch Bar

This place may not be the most happening brunch place around Banqiao. This place may not be the popular all-day breakfast joints (like the Din*r, Sec*nd Fl**r C*fe, Paddington Garden, etc). But hey! There are a bunch of good things behind the fact that this place does not belong to those two criteria mentioned before.

eatogether (饗食天堂)

Ever got the sudden urge to have a sumptuous meal once in a while? Have you heard about the mighty 饗食天堂? When I first heard the name of the restaurant, I was quite intrigued. Why? Well, because it literally means satisfying food paradise. Still not convinced? Check out our review first!

Paddington Garden (柏林頓花園)

Widely known as the “to-go” place for pancakes in Taipei, I have heard the name of Paddington Garden for quite sometimes. However, as other happening places, the hesitance to go and fight (read: queue) in this boiling hot weather is beyond the craving.

FOUND HOUSE (方屋餐廳)

With the crazily mushrooming trend of cafes and restaurants serving all-day brunch, it is a good sign of overall diet and culinary betterment for the city (can I claim this as my quote? 😆 ). Back to serious business. Clearly, this is current observance of Greater Taipei.

1861 Caffe

Anyone starting to wonder if we write the name of the place wrongly? Hahaha nope! It is really caffe with double-F instead of the normal cafe. As my partner mentioned this and thus we were thinking is this a mistake or simply they want to be different?

PP Breakfast (品品早餐)

We have written a lot of brunch places, cafes, and restaurants, but well since we are in Taiwan, of course who has not tried out local Taiwanese breakfast? By this, we mean breakfast that most locals have as they kick off their morning routines, not the overrated ones that are suggested by plenty of travel bloggers (we have been there, but for now we haven’t considered to talk about that yet).

Peace & Love Cafe

What would suit your mood best when it is raining outside? For us, it would be staying indoor and lazing out, enjoying the cool breeze (of aircon ), and yes of course we mean during weekends – how we wish we can do this on weekdays too 😛 . So for this time, we are so much motivated to share with you a place we consider our very own hide-out base.
